About

My name is Kevin Hoffman. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved reading and have loved writing ever since I got hold of my mother’s old (and ridiculously heavy!) typewriter. I made her spend more money on typing paper and ribbons than I did on Nintendo games. Since then, I’ve made a pretty good living writing computer software and I’ve written/co-written over a dozen books on various aspects of computer programming. Lots of people refer to me as an “alpha geek” and, until recently, I believed them.

The truth of the matter is that I’m a writer. Always have been, always will be. Now that I admit it publicly and have decided to buckle down and start working on the projects that have been eating at the inside of my brain like so many leeches, hopefully I’ll have something useful to say on this blog about writing fiction, the process of writing, and overcoming the inner demons all authors keep chained up within.
